I was exploring Taos, NM in Google Maps satellite view today when I realized how close it was to the Colorado border. When I scrolled up past the border I saw this strange, circular-pixelated area... Zoom in, zoom out, and explore!

These are farms with circular irrigation devices. Basically they are farming in the middle of the desert. I assume the water comes from the Colorado River.
I found an alligator farm here among the circles... It has a long winding river that snakes back and forth within a standard plot of land... I sure wouldn't want to be their neighbor...
